Stephen Keating, who launched PoliticsWest in 2007 and was its editor until January 2009, has a wide-ranging background in journalism, new ventures and multi-media.

He was formerly the business editor of The Denver Post. Prior to that, he headed a research foundation on privacy and technology at the University of Denver. In 2002, he co-produced a TV pilot for the "Faith Under Fire" talk show.

Keating wrote "Cutthroat," a book about cable and satellite TV moguls that won the 2000 Colorado Book Award for non-fiction. He is a graduate of Syracuse University.
