Monnie Nilsson, producer for PoliticsWest, has worked for The Denver Post since 2002. Before joining PoliticsWest, she served for several years as a Post news researcher. Prior to that she served as an intern for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's U.S. Library Program, and also worked in the private sector during the dot-com era.

She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Denver.
