The Hill reported today that U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is “weighing a run for governor in Colorado” [1] and that he had sounded out former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez (who ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2006) about avoiding a primary.

Tancredo, whose failed bid for the GOP presidential nomination focused on the immigration issue, was hailed this week [1] by the fellow Republican seeking to fill his seat, Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman.

"I truly believe if we had more Tom Tancredos in the Congress of the United States, the Republicans would still be in the majority,” said Coffman.
