ColoradoConfidential.com invites journalists, bloggers, and members of the public to please join us on Wednesday, December 5 from 3:30 - 4:00 PM MST for a lively 30 minute discussion with Congressman Ed Perlmutter on the war in Iraq.

This past weekend, Rep. Perlumutter traveled with four other Congressional members to Jordan, Iraq and Kuwait. Perlmutter traveled with Reps. Earl Pomeroy, D-ND; Brian Baird, D-WA; Ron Kind, D-WI; and Chris Shays, R-CT.

While in Iraq, Rep. Perlmutter met with State Rep. Joe Rice and State Sen. Steve Ward, both of whom are currently deployed, to get an on-the-ground assessment of the situation in Iraq.

Part of Rep. Perlmutter's mission was to assess future policy steps now that the President's troop surge is subsiding.
