Is Colorado's legislature really this bad?

Dems dominate both houses of the legislature and the Democratic chief executive is an inexperienced politician who tries to be all things to all people while being particularly pliant toward the wishes of unions and environmentalists. Sounds like Washington, DC, but sadly I’m talking about Colorado….

For your consideration, I offer you my column at HumanEvents.com discussing the just-ended 2009 Colorado legislative session.

Cry me a river...

Poor Ross... Do you live in the Springs? If not, I think you would fit in nicely down there with that crowd. I'm comforted knowing that the percentage of people publicly willing to identify themselves as Republican is running at about 20%. As is the case with Cheney, continually runing mouth and shooting foot is appreciated! If you keep it up, you can probably get that percentage a little lower!

Thanks in advance for your ongoing contributions to the Democratic advance.

Maunabrother

back at ya...

I love your overconfidence, and the little bubble that you live in which makes you think that the average voter, regardless of political affiliation, supports the sorts of things the Democrats in the Colorado legislature or the Federal Congress are trying to do.

Thanks in advance for showing why, even if the Republicans have been terrible, principles of liberty are still important and are consistently opposed by Democrats (except on social issues, which is not where people's focus is right now.)

Kaminsky really is this bad.

Without delving into another Kaminsky tripe piece for Human Events I ask anyone with common sense this question. What if the Denver Post printed a list of "dangerous books"? Books written by Charles Darwin, Sigmund freud, Rachel Carson, John Maynard Keynes, Karl Marx, BF Skinner, Margaret Mead, Ralph Nader, and John Stuart Mills. Human Reason published just such a list of the 25 most dangerous books. Google HE's list of dangerous books and look for yourself.

Mr. Kaminsky writes for Human Reason a purveyor of ultra conservative ideology. He contributes his ultra conservative non sense to Human Reason the above slop being a prime example.

Kaminsky once wrote in a response to one of my critical comments that he was "troubled that Human Events has a list of dangerous books". He quickly adds, "they do not call for the books to be banned and the list was compiled by outsiders not Human Events staff members". One of those outsiders is none other than Phyllis Schlafley of the Eagle Forum. How conveniently Kaminsky compartmentalizes the issue to fit his rationalization of Human Events as an innocent bystander.

They are one in the same and all part and parcel to stifling independent thought and muffling the free exchange of ideas. Kaminsky the passionate defender of liberty contributing his opinion to an organization that advocates silencing liberty. Labeling these writers and their books dangerous is the first precusor to banning then burning their books.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mr. Kaminsky is a radical extremist hypocrite who really is that bad.
