Anarchists, moonbats, piercings on parade on Denver

I've spent much of this week marching along with and taking pictures and videos of protesters in the streets around the DNC.  It's been an interesting experience, not least to be reminded that there are quite a lot of people who are, from the perspective of someone who has studied political history, insane.

That is particularly if you accept the definition of insanity reputedly offered by Albert Einstein: "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

I've met people who believe that communism would work if only it were instituted more "scientifically" and that we should "stop all carbon emissions now".  (I didn't have the presence of mind to suggest that he should stop talking if he wanted to live up to his policy proposals...and stop certain other gas-producing bodily functions as well.)

I marched with a fairly aggressive group of environmental radicals today, led by the guy with the stupid idea I just mentioned. Many were waving black flags and many were masked in anticipation of confrontations with police which I think I'm glad didn't happen.

You can read my summary of the last two days over at Human Events:

And please keep checking the Peoples Press Collective site for regular updates, including video, from around the DNC.  I believe some of us are going to head over to Invesco Field later today to see the happenings around the building. (We don't have interest in being inside and there will be more than enough coverage of that by the mainstream media anyway.)
