MONDAY UPDATE: Move fast for Pepsi Center tour
Denver residents will have the opportunity to see the inside of the transformed Pepsi Center as it will look for the Democratic National Convention on the Friday before festivities begin, reports Chuck Plunkett. DNC chief executive Leah Daughtry and Mayor John Hickenlooper announced the plan this morning. The general public will be allowed to tour the convention hall on Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be free of charge.
Tickets are now available at www.DemConvention.com. Daughtry said about 5,000 tickets would be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are limited to 4 per person. The public tour is a convention first, Daughtry said.
There also will be an educational program for students, who will be granted a tour in the morning and given a convention primer. School administrators should consult www.DemConvention.com For details.
