No word on Obama-speech road closures

In response to a question about potential road closures on Thursday, Aug. 28, the night Barack Obama is expected to accept the Democratic presidential nomination at Invesco Field, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper said today that no decisions have been made.

Interstate 25 runs nearby Invesco Field at Mile High, where the Denver Broncos play home games. The stadium capacity is estimated at 81,000.

Hickenlooper did announce some road closures for the first three nights of the convention, Aug. 25-27.
