Blogosphere battle lines are being drawn in response to Denver Post reporter Michael Riley's stories exploring former Congressman and current GOP U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer's 1999 trip to the Northern Marianas Islands and connections to the lobbying efforts of jailed lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The most recent take on the subject comes from the blog SquareState.net, Colorado's credentialed state blog to the Democratic National Convention. Read the SquareState.net blog post here.

The SquareState.net blog post responds to an article posted by Ross Kaminsky who blogs both as part of PoliticsWest.com's Gang of Four, and at Rossputin.com. Read Kaminsky's post here, and The Denver Post stories here:

MUST READING: Schaffer's Twilight Zone interview at RTL

Whatever you think of anti-abortionists, you've got to admit that Colorado RTL is not being hypocritical but holding their own 'pro-life' candidate's feet to the fire. They have posted this hysterical Twilight Zone interview with Republican US Senate candidate Bob Schaffer that's related to their accusation of his disregard for Chinese women forced to abort their children in the Mariana Islands...
