"Dirty little secret" of Dem convention

“The dirty little secret of the convention, most delegates don’t go to the parties, most delegates don’t get invited to the parties," said Leah Daughtry, chief executive of the Democratic National Convention Committee. "They’re looking for food.”

Daughtry said delegates will be looking for restaurants downtown after the gavel falls nightly at 9 p.m. during convention week, Aug. 25-28.

Daughtry and other DNCC officials are hosting a "convention conversation" at the Tattered Cover bookstore in lower downtown Denver, drawing about 150 people.
