Jason Rosenberg, who headed online communications for the Democratic National Convention Committee, has left that post.
“I really don’t have too much to say about it, it wasn’t a great fit for me," Rosenberg said Friday. "It was a good time to move on.”
During his brief tenure, Rosenberg said, “We crafted the first-ever blogger credentials for a major event. It will probably be duplicated for other events."
Rosenberg, an Internet strategist in Washington, D.C., before moving to Denver, said he is completing a Master's Degree in communications and contemporary society at Johns Hopkins University.
“I wish everyone the best," he said. "I have no doubt that this is going to be a fantastic convention.”
And what becomes of the convention's online strategy? Here's the answer from Natalie Wyeth, DNCC spokesperson:
"Moving forward, you should have full confidence that the commitment the DNCC made from day one to creating and maintaining a robust online strategy and ensuring expanded access for bloggers at the Convention is as strong as ever.
"Indeed, the commitment to bringing bloggers and web activists into the mix is foundational for Governor Dean and the DNCC. And please note, the state blogger corps initiative has not changed either. The response there has been very strong, and we look forward to announcing our credentialed blogger pool in May."
